Stereogum

Wondersauce was commissioned to overhaul the identity and digital home of legendary music publication Stereogum. Valentin led the creative direction toward a "digital-physical" synthesis. The stripped-back aesthetic serves as a high-fidelity canvas where artists and content take center stage. The site evokes the tactile nostalgia of a physical record store by leveraging exclusively square image containers within a strict 1:1 grid system. Valentin also refreshed the wordmark into a bold typographic system, establishing the brand with the ownable authority of a definitive legacy publisher.
